One of the most unique and fun features of Thunder Mountain Cabin is its river access. The cabin is located just a stone's throw away from the river! Whether you are an experienced angler or a novice, you'll find plenty of fish to catch here. We caught a lot of sunfish and Skylar's biggest smallmouth bass to date! The home comes with access to four kayaks with paddles and lifejackets ready for use. The 118 steps getting down the river are worth the walk down once you see how beautiful it is!
The outdoor bathtub and shower are the highlights of this home for me. The bath was soul-healingly awesome. With an insanely gorgeous mountain view, I stared into the view until I was so wrinkly I had to get out!
Thunder Mountain Cabin is also a great place for hiking enthusiasts. The private property has 4 miles of hiking trails that offer breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and forests. The trails are easy to follow and can be explored for hours.

We stayed outside in our rooftop tent during this excursion. Between cabin guest stays, the owners love to allow folks to come camp and use the outdoor amenities, which include the outdoor tub, bathroom, and river access!
