As we ventured deeper into the trail, the remnants of this once-bustling mining operation emerged from the overgrowth, evoking a sense of curiosity and wonder. The decaying structures and remnants of equipment offered a glimpse into the area's rich mining heritage, sparking our imaginations and prompting us to contemplate the stories hidden within the mine's forgotten tunnels. Tiffany and Bob had so much to share about this piece of the property's history. It was definitely another highlight for us to explore this neat place! This unexpected find added an extra layer of adventure to our stay, allowing us to connect with the region's past while surrounded by the beauty of the Ouachita Mountains.
